We would like to share with you the stories of our brothers and sisters living and working in brick kilns, their hardships, struggles and persecution as a believer in Christ. Thousands of Pakistani Christians are Brick-kiln workers who borrow money from their employer for essential needs at a time of family crisis. The debts keep each family bonded to their brink-kiln, with money deducted from their wages to pay the interest on the loan. It is impossible, in their poverty, to pay off the debts, and these debts can be passed down from generation to generation. Despised, despairing and trapped, the bonded brick-kiln workers feel like slaves. On January 24, 2021 the CFAM team in Pakistan traveled to one of the communities the team is running a Sunday School program since the restart  due to Covid-19.  The team traveled to the Shiekhupura district to the school in Phularwan.  The CFAM team wanted to see how the new program was running, how the team could help the teachers and what could be done to improve the program. The CFAM team traveled with five teachers from other areas with the hope that all the teachers would have an opportunity to see how other Sunday School programs were running, to learn from each other and to share songs, lessons and materials. This year the Christ For All Ministry team in Pakistan decided the best way to serve our Sunday School communities would be to provide the children and their families with a Christmas food package. Covid-19 has been difficult and challenging for everyone but has been particularly difficult for Christians in Pakistan who are marginalized already and now face very strict lockdowns and substantial increase in the cost of food. To assist Christian families through these difficult times the CFAM team in Pakistan purchased, organized and distributed food packages to 141 families in the communities of our 6 Sunday School programs. Galatians: 6:9“And let us not grown weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”After the CFAM Pakistan team meet to discuss the reopening of Sunday School programs, it was decided that on 20th of September 2020 the team would go to Shiekhupura to reopen Sunday School activities following the Government of Pakistan Covid-19 SOP’s (Mask), Social Distancing, Hand washing /Hand sanitizing). To travel there the team arranged to meet at patherwali District Nankana sahib. With recent incidents on the highways in the area the team was traveling, one of which a mother was raped and her two children were beaten. The CFAM team in Pakistan has been busy in the last two months reaching and serving struggling Christian communities that have been impacted by the Covid -19 pandemic.  Much of Pakistan has been locked down due to the Covid - 19 situation and this has really impacted the poor Christian communities because many work as day labourers and have not been able to work. Unemployment is high and there is no safety net for these Christian communities. Many in these communities have had no work and no income and reports of starvation are already circulating. Families are missing meals and children are going hungry and much of the food aid that reaches Pakistan does not reach these communities. Christ For All Ministry is very thankful to CREDO and the Mission week team for choosing our ministry to support this year. We are especially thankful to all the students who chose to fundraise for CFAM. We were very thankful to present the work of CFAM in Pakistan to the school in an assembly. It was so exciting to see them learn about CFAM’s work and how quickly they got involved with supporting our ministry.  It is such a blessing to see God truly work through these high school children. The CFAM team in Pakistan is working to reach and serve the forgotten Christian communities and God has led them to the outskirts of the village of Ghaniyaki in the Kasur District of the province of Punjab. Here there is a small community of 25 to 30 Christian families who have become financially enslaved to the Brick Kiln owners. Sadly these families who are already extremely poor have taken corrupt loans from the Brick Kiln owners, often for medicine, food or to pay for a daughter’s marriage, and work at the Brick Kiln to pay off the loans. Christ For All Ministry's first program of 2019 was held on January 13 in Clarkabad Kalan district Kasur.  Christ For All Ministry hosted a Sunday School and Food program to help the Christian community there celebrate Christmas and New Years.  Over 100 children enjoyed singing songs, reciting scripture, playing games and all received a lunch box full of school supplies and food as a gift. The Sunday School program was followed by a time of worship and prayer led brother Nadeem- ul- Zaman and sister Joyce The amazing Christ For All Ministry volunteers then shared the wonderful meal they had prepared with all the children and their parents.
