“In the face of adversity and attacks on our churches in Jaranawala and Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan, our team remains steadfast in helping our brothers and sisters. The recent incidents have left a deep impact on our community, and we continue to rely on our faith and God’s presence.
In Faisalabad, one of our independent churches with more than 200 family members had to flee their homes due to the fear of persecution. They have spent their lives here, and it’s heart-wrenching to see them displaced. But this Sunday, they will gather again to start their church and Sunday school. Their determination is an inspiration, and we have started sharing the story of David with their children, teaching them that God is always with us, providing and protecting them.
However, the fear of persecution still lingers in the hearts of these children, especially since they are surrounded by the Muslim community. To address this concern, they have taken a page from Nehemiah’s book, who asked his people to wake up and secure their community. Our people have formed teams to act as security guards, protecting their families. They stay awake at night, praying, singing gospel songs, and fulfilling their duty as security guards.
Even in the face of difficulties, we believe that God is with them, just as He promises in the Bible. The verse from Isaiah 41:10 resonates with our situation: ‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’
We kindly ask you to continue praying for the safety and protection of our community. If you would like to support us, please visit our Donate page.
